2nd international drought symposium

We are excited to organize the second drought symposium on the 50th anniversary of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP). There will be a keynote speaker and the rest of the day will be filled with presentation on different aspects of drought, water scarcity and nature-based solutions.
Topics to be covered:
• Understanding drought and its impact on the environment
• Drought analysis advancements using drought indices
• Drought under changing climate and drought risk assessment
• Early warning systems for drought risk reduction
• Nature-based solutions as drought mitigation/adaptation measures
• Drought monitoring via citizen of science and Internet of Things (IoT) approach
• The use of remote sensing to advance drought monitoring and assessment
• Water scarcity and its severe impact
