For the last 50 years, the Belgium has been committed to advance international collaboration and find innovative solutions for water management challenges. Continuing this tradition, we are proud to host the BE Open Water conference to advance knowledge and discussions aligned to the UNESCO-IHP IX strategic plan in science and innovative research, citizen science, ecohydrology, remote sensing water scarcity and hydroclimatic risks.   
International collaboration is essential for solving global water challenges, as it unites diverse expertise, resources, and perspectives to create scalable, sustainable solutions that transcend borders and address shared environmental threats.
